On Personal Finance

In our view, personal finance is more than just a generic application of financial theory.  When “real life” comes into play, there are often many other factors in a decision than merely the “dollars and cents” – for starters, a person’s current financial resources, obligations, credit scores, risk tolerance, family structure, legacy plans, and many more.

That’s why we tend to see personal finance less as a set of principles that can be applied to each person (or each family), and more as an ongoing discussion where answers questions are going to vary greatly from person to person, and often from day-to-day.  For us, this blog is about recording those thoughts and provoking conversation so that every person (or family!) has tools to help them come to their “best decision for now”.
